”If it appreciates - Buy it. If it depreciates - Lease it.” ~ John Paul Getty

2003   Family Trust &Tax Company and THE KUVASZ GUARDIAN CORPORATION  were incorporated after a successful defence to protect The Bailey Capital Fund and others (including a Toronto-based Credit Union) in quashing an unjustified lawsuit launched by a monolithic,-sized,  post 9/11-effected financing company under poor management.

Michael Hines CA Trustee, CFO mentored Tess to understand LIMITED LIABILITY equals 99% PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY and the only way to protect assets where it matter most, in The Law Courts, was to look to the judges and lawyers themselves and do what they do to protect themselves.

When Tess Lawson tried to implement her own  Family & Business Trusts she discovered the Financial Planning Industry was missing an easy & affordable way to acquire a Legal Trust in Canada. Tess decided to start a 'Logistics’' service for Legal Trusts with the small business and/or home owner sustainability, in mind.

MAY 2006 saw Scientia Technologies team up with The Family Trust &Tax Co. via an NRC Federal government grant awarded to The Family Trust & Tax Co.to develop an artificial intelligence (AI)method for the input of the Canadian Tax Act & Canadian Trust & Wills laws; an Expert knowledge-base system that harnesses and brings the rubik's cube of Legal Trust information easily and affordably to the user - at the click of a mouse.
