”If it appreciates - Buy it. If it depreciates - Lease it.” ~ John Paul Getty

In 2003, Tess Lawson founded
The Family Trust &Tax Company and THE KUVASZ GUARDIAN CORPORATION after successfully defending herself and others (including a Toronto-based Credit Union) by quashing an unjustified lawsuit launched by a monolithic, but post 9/11-effected financing company under poor management.

Michael Hines CA Trustee, CFO had Tess realize that LIMITED LIABILITY equals 95% PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY and the only way to protect oneself where it matter most, in The Law Courts, was to look to the judges and lawyers themselves and do what they do to protect themselves.

When Tess Lawson tried to set up her own Family & Business Trust she discovered the Financial Planning Industry was missing an easy & affordable way to acquire a Legal Trust. Tess decided to start a 'Logistics’' service for Legal Trusts with the small business and/or home owner sustainability, in mind.

MAY 2006 saw Scientia Technologies team up with The Family Trust &Tax Co. via an NRC Federal government grant that was awarded to The Family Trust & Tax Co.to develop an artificial intelligence method for the input of the Canadian Tax Act & Canadian Trust & Wills laws; a knowledge-base system that harnesses and brings the rubik's cube natue of Legal Trusts easily and affordably to the user - at the click of a mouse.

"Have and KEEP, and estate to plan!" ~ Tess Lawson

In Oct 2006 & May 2007 Tess Lawson was asked to co-chair & spearhead the 2007 VBOT Urban Study Field Trip to MONTREAL, QUEBEC along with Mary Anne Davidson (CEO) - residential Construction Industry Training Authority . The purpose of this adventure with Vancouver's Mayor Sullivan and his team will be to learn Montreal's "best practices" demonstrated on issues ranging from Crime, Health and Homelessness to Montreal's attempts at Corporate Governance and Transportation solutions.
